Here is the vineyard house design sited at the base of Sonoma Mountain, affording expansive views across the vineyards and valley to the east. It stands on the edge of the vineyard but close enough to the vines offering beautiful views that can be enjoyed from inside the residence thanks to large glass windows. According the Aidlin Darling: Carefully sited on the edge of a sixty-acre vineyard, this monastic stone structure establishes a temporal frame of reference for mapping its physical environment. It is organized around a long reflecting pool, which provides a reorientation among undulating horizons, enhancing the relationship of indoor and outdoor space. The design poetically layers a complex program including agricultural operations, utility infrastructure, auxiliary structures, sculpture, orchards, gardens, follies, and domestic life. A long reflecting pool, its water level in measured contrast to the rolling ground plane, runs from an intimate southerly forest, through the house to panoramic northern views. The monolithic pool functions as an abstract reference datum; it structures the arrival sequence and daily routines. Domestic spaces are organized along its length, and a parallel loggia provides a meditative walk between the different phases and activities of the day. Perpendicular to the pool is

Twentyfourseven has designed the a Contemporary three level AE House project in Lomas de Chapultepec, a residential district in Mexico City, Mexico. Twentyfourseven is an emergent practice in Mexico City, working in the fields of architecture and landscape urbanism AE House by twentyfourseven AE house is an exploration on privacy and materiality, the house is situated in Lomas de Chapultepec, in Mexico City, and consists of three levels placed on a 800 m2 / 8611 sq ft site. The house uses the restrictions in the urban plan to its advantage in the placement of the internal spaces, challenging the typical configurations of similar plots in the area. The project offers an alternative to the centralized volumes that are closed and devoid of interaction to their sites and looking outwards through wall enclosed patios. The proposal of the project changes this interaction by displacing a thick volume to the back of the site while a thin volume is pulled forward, creating by such an action a cross diagram that allows for patios to emerge with views, illumination and natural ventilation of the spaces. The intersection of both volumes creates a central void where the connection between the different volumes opens up

This context of urban housing, as well as restrictions on local climate and privacy. The house is clearly distinct from the street due to its contemporary shapes. Secret House Project Summaries Architects: AGi Architects Location: Shuwaikh B, Kuwait Project Year: 2010 Project Area: 2600 sqm Photographs: Nelson Garrido Client: Private Consultants: AMJT Size: 2,600 sqm Project Team: Nasser Abulhasan, Joaquin Perez-Goicoechea,Bruno Gomes, Raquel Soeiro, Naseeba Shaji, Babu Ibrahim, Robert Varguese, Abdul Hafiz Mohammed, Walead Fawzy El Demdash Secret House by AGi Architects: “Kuwait’s urban fabric mostly consists of detached single-family homes highlighting a clear example of city-sprawl. To adapt to the desert climate, the distances between the built volumes are minimal, resulting in shaded spaces between houses. These spaces that work well as temperature regulators result in facades with little privacy and limited views. This creates an added challenge to create projects with personality that are not based purely on an exercise in façade design. Given these circumstances, our focus was to design a home that expresses the clients’ needs, clearly marking the buffers and

Belgian studio Beel & Achtergael Architects has designed the Villa V in T in Flanders This is a nice house, very discreet and private from the front and open in the back. The sculpture is a Marc Quinn kate moss sculpture.we like it overall. we like the structure of the building, it’s wide open spaces and it’s whiteness although sometimes it becomes too much, the pool area and the furnishings Villa V in T Project description: The client wanted a house where he could relax in calm and privacy among his family and friends and enjoy his extensive art collection. The site for the building is on a mixed vernacular residential / light industrial street close to the clients companies offices. While the general surroundings at the rear of the plot are agricultural and offer a quiet perspective, there is considerable traffic at the front. In this project we therefore tried to create “a little world on its own” by arranging all dwelling quarters on the ground floor in a U-shape around an open air courtyard. On the inside of this shape a continuous glass wall opens the generous circulation and living rooms to this “heart”, the social core of the

This home with 6,00 square foot two story contemporary home is located in Los Altos Hills, California, USA. According the Architect: “CCS Architecture designed this modern home for a family of five in Los Altos Hills, California. The clients, both working parents, wanted a warm and casual, family-friendly dwelling with interiors that would merge with the outdoors. The goal of sustainability was met through the home’s building methods, materials, and energy systems. Carefully positioned on its one-acre site, the 6,000 square foot residence is broken into three parts separated by two breezeways.
