Amazing Creative Hill House Design in Melbourne by Andrew Maynard Architects

This Creative Hill House Design in Melbourne Australia, this house design by Andrew Maynard Architects. House design strategy: outdoor space with great solar access, landscape with lots of vegetation providing shades and good ventilation. great space for gathering between friends and family under the stairs during night time, great outdoor space for kids to play and hold activities during daytime. good access from living space to the park Hill House Design Description from Architects: Hill House the problem/opportunity: Design is complex. There is little that is more complex to design than a home, however fundamental issues offer an architect a starting point; where is the sun? How do we capture it in winter, how do we exclude it in summer? The thin allotments that dominate Melbourne’s northern suburbs often provide indomitable constraints to solar access and therefore require the production of unorthodox ideas to overcome these constraints and convert them into opportunities. Hill House Original conditions: The site faces north therefore relegating the backyard, the family’s primary outdoor space, to shadow throughout the year. In the 90s a two storey extension was added reducing solar access even further while creating deep dark space within the house. A family of five

Wonderful Casa Luz Design in Guatemala City by Paz Arquitectura

This cool Contemporary Casa Luz in Guatemala City by Paz Arquitectura. This House use of glass and continuity of exterior and interior materials seek to integrate the indoors with the outdoors, creating functional environments whose edges can be deleted to suit the inhabitant. Casa Luz in Guatemala City by Paz Arquitectura: “With intent to emphasize the structural elements, and to seek to highlight the local construction methods and materials, design work was done using fine timber formwork in order to leave a permanent imprint on the exposed concrete. The large windows explore the opportunities to open the space as much as possible, and using floor to ceiling windows allows the rooms to become a balcony. Existing vegetation is preserved so that when you open the windows you could have a visual relationship with the existing trees. White was used for horizontal and vertical planes (slabs and walls) in order to cause the spread of natural light. Materials such as tempered glass, wood and exposed concrete used in its size, and natural shades create an architecture that is restrained and straightforward.” Photography by Andres Asturias

Here is the Contemporary Villa M in Austin, Texas by Brian Dillard Architecture. This contemporary and amazing two story house ideas with garden and swimming pool. Description from the architects: Villa M was designed by Brian Dillard Architecture for a client with Southern French roots living in Austin, Texas. The Austin architect wanted to embrace the owner’s heritage along with his appreciation for contemporary architecture, classic design, bright colors, and outdoor living. The house is organized around a central pool and garden area that is shared by the main house and pool house. Both enjoy large, multi-slide doors which open the spaces completely to the pool during nicer months. The red stucco volumes are inspired by the vernacular stucco of Nice, France where the owner is from. The parterre garden, tiled pool, and fountain along a central axis are also reminiscent of French influences. Strong design elements including the bright colors and general form of the house are softened by the use of classic, warm materials such as white oak wood paneling, terrazzo floors, and lueders limestone exterior pavers. The client’s furniture, Murano glass light fixtures, & art from the Saint Paul de Vence galleries further serve to further warm

Contemporary House for a Young Family in Gorky-6 by Atrium Architects

Moscow architectural studio Atrium Architects has designed the House in Gorky-6. This contemporary house design for a young family with a child on the top of a hill surrounded by pine trees near Moscow, Russia. Description from the architects: This house was designed for a young couple with a child. Their only wish was to have a contemporary piece of architecture. The site is situated not far from Moscow to the west. The house is positioned on the top of a hill surrounded by pine trees. The site has three directions with beautiful views, only the north view is worse, so the architects decided to close it off. This provoked the idea of folded plane, which is lifted a little above the ground and forms the space of the house. It creates a variety of inner and outer spaces which serve usual dwelling functions. At the same time the building is open to the sunlight, with windows throughout oriented towards natural light. You can feel the structure of folding in the house because of the open space plan where public zones flow into private areas and vice-versa. There is no difference in cladding of the outside and the inside. If
